A look into the lives of three successful Norfolk businesswomen

Buzz Off – Louise Chapman

I started my first wildlife management business in 2014 dealing with household pests and started Buzz-Off Ltd in 2020 working to save bees rather than eradicate them. Buzz-Off works between May-September to safely remove bees from buildings.

What does success look like for you?

In 2024 Buzz-Off was recognised at the Best Business Women Awards, where I won 2 awards for our work to protect our honeybees. I was very proud to represent our beautiful county of Norfolk.

What advice would you give a woman who has an idea for a business and is just starting out?

My advice to any woman starting in business is to research your market to see if the business is viable. Choose which 18 hours of the day you wish to work, as starting a business requires long hours, commitment to see things through and lastly, do not worry about making mistakes. You have to make mistakes to learn and progress.
